Once again BBC technology news warps a superficial report around a wishful idea with an article on an invisible cloak. The details are so thin as to provoke disbelief. Particularly with the image-bite accompanying the story

In fact, it prompted me to take 15 minutes out of my life to recreate the image with a little help from my housemate (thanks, max!).
Looking something like the old xspringies program and Karl Sims’ work, sodarace has all the hallmarks of a potent distraction.
Since a have a shed-load of work to do this evening I’ll just note it and maybe review later.
Okay, so I couldn’t be bothered to work out how to reintegrate my old b2 postings automatically. I looked at them and realised there were only a half dozen that I thought worth keeping.
Cut and paste to the rescue.
After lunarpages upgraded PHP to suPHP the old b2 blog (along with cutenews and gallery) went up the spout. Well, the gallery is mostly working again and I’ve gone for the WordPress option. Will form a hard opinion when I’ve used it a little more. Certainly, it is a dream to install.
It also promises to be able to import my old b2 postings. Not been able to do that yet
